Zefi Kolia was born in Piraeus, the main port of Athens, Greece. She engaged in journalism and she has written articles for a number of journals concerning politics, ecology and literature. Her first novel was published in 2000 and thence forward she has published four novels and a children’s comic book. She has translated in Greek Edgar Allan Poe’s short story collection with the title  ‘’The Black Cat and Other Stories’’.  Her short stories have been published in literary collections, magazines, newspapers and  websites.

The title of her latest novel is ‘’Laura, the last of the Marxes’’ and it is about Karl Marx’s daughter,  Laura and her husband Paul Lafargue –author of ‘’The right to be lazy’’,  a couple of revolutionaries  who committed suicide together at their mansion in Draveil (bought with Friedrich Engels’ money) in 1911. 

Εμφανίστηκε στην πεζογραφία το 2000 με το μυθιστόρημα ‘’Όταν όλα κλείνουν, ο έρωτας διανυκτερεύει’’ από τις εκδόσεις Κέδρος. Από τις ίδιες εκδόσεις κυκλοφορούν τα μυθιστορήματά της  ‘’Κι αν είμαι ροζ μη με φοβάσαι’’ ,  ‘’Χ- αίματος’’ και το παιδικό βιβλίο ‘’ Ποπ Καφέ, το στέκι των παράξενων  πλασμάτων’’ σε εικονογράφηση του κομίστα Γιώργου Δημητρίου.  Επιμελήθηκε και συμμετείχε σε τρεις συλλογές διηγημάτων:  ‘Κοκτέιλ μολότοφ’’ (εκδ. Κοχλίας), ‘’Υπόγειες ιστορίες’’  (εκδ. Athens voice)  και  ‘’Τη νύχτα αυτή τη λέμε εμείς φωτιά, ιστορίες από τα Εξάρχεια’’  (εκδ. Athens voice).

Το τελευταίο της βιβλίο είναι η βιογραφική μυθιστορία με τίτλο ‘’Λώρα, η τελευταία των Μαρξ’’ και κυκλοφορεί από τις εκδόσεις Μεταίχμιο.

Μετέφρασε για τις εκδόσεις Οξύ το βιβλίο ‘’ Ο μαύρος γάτος και άλλες ιστορίες τρόμου’’ του Ε.Α.Πόε.

Διηγήματά της έχουν φιλοξενηθεί σε εφημερίδες, έντυπα και sites.
